Beloved: Grace and Peace

Dearest and Beloved
A Mother's Love
Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Happy Mother's Day to all you ladies who are mothers and mothers-at-heart.
Grace to you.
I saw a news story about the tornados and flooding which swept through Mississippi and Tennessee one weekend. A young mother of three recieved news of a tornado just shortly before the tornado hit their mobile home. She put her children under a mattress or something and threw her body over them to protect them.
Deborah, a judge in Isreal, proclaimed, "
The inhabitants of
the villages ceased, they
ceased in Isreal, until that that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel" (Judges 5:7).
Paul remembered the faith of Lois and the faith of Eunice, the unfeigned faith, which was successfully nurtured into Timothy (2 Timothy 1:5).
"And say, What
thy mother? A lioness: she lay down among lions, she nourished
her whelps among young lions" (Ezekiel 19:2).
In Isaiah 66:13 God tells us, "As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you . . . ." God compares His care to a mother's care because we understand that.
Sometimes mothers have to be fierce as lionesses, and some comfort us when no other can.
When they found the young mother, she was dead, but her young children were alive and safe near her. "Greater love hath no man than this . . ." (John 15:13).
Mothers, you daily demonstrate the love of God to your children. May you be blessed today!
